Let’s face it. Sometimes your team needs a little push to move forward. Whether it’s a motivation issue, a communication issue or something else, it can be hard to get everyone moving in the same direction.
So, what are the most popular team building activities? Cue the eye-rolling here, but some of the most overly used team building ideas include things like:

Far too often, when “team building day” is announced, the entire process is met with cynicism and suspicion.
But, people LOVE escape rooms. Why?
Simple. While not everyone can (or should) sing, everyone can help the group solve puzzles to escape the room. There is no such thing as a “full contact” escape room, so no one limps out of an escape game. Everyone can participate. Anyone can save the day and become an escape game legend.

The President's Project
While touring The Lincoln Library you and your team stumble across an encrypted message left by President Lincoln himself. Known for his inventive mind, it had long been rumored Lincoln had developed designs for a more efficient rail engine that had yet to be submitted for patent. Decipher his message, follow the clues, find the engine design and rewrite history. As President Lincoln said “determine the thing that can and shall be done and then……find the way.”

A murder has happened at 221 B Baker Street. Dr. Watson has been arrested by Scotland Yard and is their prime suspect. Sherlock Holmes knows Watson has been framed and is sure that Moriarty is behind it, but has been removed from the case.

Escape Rooms Build Your Skills
In the corporate world, it may be rare that you get to see your team in action. With an escape game, you can watch your team, how well they communicate to get a solution. Once the clock starts, the team dynamics begin and you can watch who takes on a leadership position, how people communicate (or don’t) and who pulls through in the clutch. Watching how your team handles the pressure as it gets down to the last 20 minutes can tell you a lot about what’s going on with each individual.

These days, when you want to give your people a challenge, it’s unfortunate, but we have to think about liability issues whenever considering corporate team building. This is never a problem with our escape rooms. Not only are they safe, fun team-building exercises, but it’s a great way to watch how each participant works together with the team.
